Mission

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Sales Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining a robust customer portfolio of Forsee Power business within the commercial vehicle market segment. This position reports to the Sales Director, North America. The candidate’s background and physical location will determine the segment and geography to be served by the role.

Scope of responsibility includes duties customary to the role, such as:

  • Drive the sale of highly engineered battery systems and services to original equipment manufacturers (OEMs).
  • Build an effective sales strategy for the designated segment and geography.
  • Organically identify and develop new customer accounts.
  • Develop and maintain a robust opportunity portfolio.
  • Create and lead the execution of cross-functional customer account plans.
  • Build strong customer relationships and provide the voice of the customer within Forsee Power.
  • Champion customer satisfaction.
  • Prepare sales, margin, and volume forecasts.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for customers within the segment and geography.
  • Manage commercial offers, terms and conditions, and negotiations through all phases of a contract (quoting, development, series production and aftersales) in line with budget objectives and applicable company procedures.
  • Follow-up project development and after-sales activity on its customer portfolio and support when appropriate (negotiation of design change request, warranty issues, etc.).
  • Monitor industry, market, and technology trends.
  • Collaborate with the Group business development team on strategy, product plans, global account management, etc.
  • Partner with the Group communications team regarding trade shows, seminars, marketing materials, etc.
  • Collaborate with companies with whom Forsee Power has strategic relationships.
  • Help establish and maintain sales and marketing processes and procedures.
  • Perform all duties in a manner consistent with Forsee Power’s Values and Code of Conduct.

Preferred Location:

  • The role may function best if based at the North American headquarters and manufacturing facility in Hilliard, Ohio (Columbus area). However, candidates in advantageous geographies may also be considered.
  • Significant travel to customers and trade events is required.

Personal Characteristics:

  • Technical knowledge and experience with battery systems for electric mobility strongly preferred.
  • Experience in the industries of heavy (bus, truck, construction, agriculture) or light (last mile, three-wheeler, scooter) transportation is of high interest.
  • Ability to work within “start-up” company constraints.
  • Possesses a personal connection to Forsee Power’s mission.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to bridge strategy to action.
  • Self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Values diversity of culture, gender, etc.
  • Operates effectively in a matrix organization.
  • Leads effectively across functional silos and cultures.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity.
  • Strong business acumen and financially savvy.
  • Fluent in English, French speaking is a plus.

Strong candidate likely has:

  • 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Business degree with strong technical experience, or engineering degree with an MBA.
