Missions

JOB DESCRIPTION

In a phase of expansion, we are currently seeking a talented and passionate Prototype Machinist to join our dynamic team. You will be responsible for:

  • Performing test assembly of manufactured parts: subassemblies and assemblies
  • Assembling these parts and installing fittings and trimmings
  • Resolving any potential issues during the transition to production workshop
  • Improving the prototype in terms of cost and feasibility for series production in an industrial workshop
  • Adjusting parts as needed
  • Participating in prototype validation
  • Collaborating with the engineering department
  • Maintaining equipment and workstations
  • Improving production methods
  • Machining materials using tools and machines according to plans and specifications
  • Performing test assembly of manufactured parts (subassemblies and assemblies)

Profile

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR IN YOU

  • Knowledge in prototyping
  • Ability to read and understand plans (electrical, mechanical)
  • Ability to create specific testing methods (small boxes, etc.) for production or engineering
  • Ability to adjust prototypes once assembled
  • Ability to propose improvements in case of manufacturing issues, in relation to methods/industrialization
  • Ability to analyze a prototype specification document
  • Ability to propose or choose corresponding and/or most suitable materials
  • Ability to propose cost-reducing improvements on projects
  • Knowledge in mechanical and electrical assembly
  • Knowledge in conventional lathe and milling machine machining
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
