PULSE PLUS RAIL is Forsee Power’s high-power battery platform specifically engineered for demanding railway applications.
Available in 26.5 kWh and 30.5 kWh battery packs, the range combines LTO technology, proprietary battery management and high-power capability to deliver fast charging, intensive cycling and reliable performance.
Designed as a scalable and modular rail battery system, PULSE PLUS RAIL supports all-electric and hybrid rolling stock, regenerative braking, peak shaving and demanding power applications, with architectures that can be configured for 1,500 V battery systems.
High-power batteries engineered for rail
Rail applications involving frequent acceleration, braking and charging require battery systems capable of delivering and absorbing high levels of power repeatedly.
PULSE PLUS RAIL has been developed specifically for these demanding operating profiles. Based on Lithium Titanate (LTO) technology, the platform combines high-power capability, fast charging and exceptional cycle life, making it particularly suited to applications with intensive and repeated charge and discharge cycles.
Its modular architecture enables railway manufacturers and integrators to adapt the battery system to the power, energy and integration requirements of each vehicle.

PULSE 26 PLUS RAIL
The 26.5 kWh PULSE 26 PLUS RAIL is designed for railway applications requiring particularly high power and intensive cycling.
It delivers 14C peak capability for 30 seconds and can exceed 40,000 cycles and 15 years of operation, depending on usage.
Its modular architecture enables packs to be combined according to vehicle power and energy requirements.
PULSE 30 PLUS RAIL
The 30.5 kWh PULSE 30 PLUS RAIL combines high-power performance with increased onboard energy. It delivers up to 300 kW peak power for 30 seconds per pack and 130 kW continuous power.
Designed for intensive railway operations, it provides a lifetime of more than 20,000 cycles and 15 years, depending on usage.
Flexible integration for demanding rail applications
PULSE PLUS RAIL’s modular architecture supports roof, underfloor and power car integration and can be configured according to vehicle power and energy requirements. Battery packs can also be combined to create 1,500 V battery systems.
The platform is particularly suited to applications requiring frequent energy exchanges, including all-electric and hybrid rolling stock, regenerative braking, energy recovery and peak shaving.
Supporting your rail project over the long term
PULSE PLUS RAIL combines Forsee Power’s proprietary BMS with electrical protection, monitoring and fire safety functions. The platform features SIL2 safety according to EN 50126 and railway cybersecurity according to TS 50701:2023, level SSAL2.
Its LTO technology and intensive cycling capability provide a lifetime exceeding 15 years depending on usage, contributing to optimized Total Cost of Ownership and long-term rolling stock availability.
