Forsee Power, a specialist in lithium-ion intelligent battery systems for electric transport, announces its presence at InnoTrans, the world's largest trade fair dedicated to transport technologies, including rail and public transport. 

 

For the first time since its launch in 1996, this year InnoTrans will focus on buses. This is an opportunity for Forsee Power to exhibit all of its high value-added lithium-ion battery systems, specifically developed to respond to the increasing demand from manufacturers responsible for building trams, locomotives, trains and buses, committed to the energy transition. By offering specific and complex batteries tailored to the development of electric and hybrid vehicles, Forsee Power enables its customers to maintain the balance between power, autonomy, longevity, safety and reliability, and so becoming game changer in this new era of clean transport for the rail and road sectors.

 

"The battery systems we develop in the framework of a rail project, address three major needs identified by the manufacturers: ensuring safety on-board in the event of a power outage, while guaranteeing an uninterrupted service; making a train or tram autonomous on portions of track without overhead power lines; and, finally, powering a locomotive for short periods to release it from the need for a network power supply (shunting in stations). These are the challenges that drive Forsee Power to constantly innovate in the development of our products as well as our maintenance services, in order to provide our customers with sustainable solutions" says Sébastien Rembauville-Nicolle, Director of Forsee Power's Transport division.

 

On the bus market, these batteries allow hybridisation – combining a thermal engine and electric batteries – or complete electrification of the vehicle. Forsee Power has solid references in this market. For example, the Group supplies equipment to Heuliez Bus in France and Wrightbus in the UK, and alongside with Yutong, is developing solutions for the Dietrich Carebus Group's buses to be sold in Europe.
