Forsee Power will equip the Heuliez electric buses which will soon be circulating on the RATP network.
Indeed, the French manufacturer has just won a portion of the market in the first significant RATP tender, which aims a 100% ecological bus park by 2025 in Paris and its suburb.
This is the standard 100% electric GX 337 Heuliez Bus that has been retained by the RATP, which can accommodate more than 90 passengers. The dedicated RATP buses will be equipped with Forsee Power's 360 KWh NMC lithium-ion battery systems, which are divided into eight packs, six on the roof and two in the rear compartment. The batteries have an autonomy ensuring a day of operation. They recharge overnight at the depot in a few hours thanks to a Combo 2 socket located at the rear of the vehicle, to optimize the charging space in the bus center.
This new contract is very good news for Forsee Power who announced at the end of 2017, the launch of its mass production in 2018, supported by a recruitment plan of 300 people by 2021.
In October 2017, Heuliez Bus and Forsee Power had announced the signing of a contract for the equipment in smart battery systems of more than 500 electric buses. The two Groups have been working together since 2015 on the development of a 100% French electric transport offer for French and international markets, whose transition to electricity has accelerated sharply since 2017.
