Forsee Power, specialist in lithium-ion batteries for electric mobility, is pursuing its conquest of the electric bike market and will exhibit at the Eurobike Show in Germany from August 31 to September 2.

The European manufacturer will be showcasing its latest technologies and associated solutions dedicated to electric bike professionals.

Smart battery systems

The batteries developed by the engineering teams at Forsee Power use state-of-the-art lithium-ion technologies, offering many advantages, notably for lifetime and safety. Forsee Power designs and develops unique solutionsfor electrically assisted bicycles. Entirely made to measure, they include parameters identified upstream by the customer, such as target average speed, battery range in km, battery footprint and charge time.

Innovative electronic solutions

With its own fully in-house electronics department, Forsee Power offers its customers Battery Management Systems (BMS) with the most advanced electronic functions. The BMS is an electronic card that fulfils three main functions: battery safety management by monitoring cell voltage and overall bill of health; calculating charge/discharge currents and battery temperature; and communicating with the client application via different processes such as CAN, MODBUS, RS485, and low-energy Bluetooth.

A new dedicated diagnostic tool

For the first time at the Eurobike show, Forsee Power will be presenting the Smart Pilot Box, its new diagnostics tool dedicated to electric mobility. Developed in-house by the Group’s R&D teams, the tool delivers statistics on battery use conditions with adjustable granularity that can be used by bike manufacturers and resellers as well as by Forsee Power’s own after-sales service.

Forsee Group’s Mobility division is growing strongly in Europe and Asia on the electric bike, scooter and kart markets. The Group recently signed a contract worth €30 million and now ranks among the key players in the electric battery market for mobility.

“This deal shows that electric mobility, in the broadest sense, is a fast-growing market on which Forsee Power is now a truly established player. Our project managers and engineers share a full-on commitment to offering and developing unique solutions that deliver complete satisfaction to our customers in cycle and scooter manufacturing, before we produce them at one of our four plants worldwide” said Frédérik Baudrier, Director of Forsee Power’s Mobility Division.
